Jacob Petrosky is a founder and the Tech Wizard at Instant Roofer, where he helps build technology that makes roofing estimates easier to understand and access. With more than 20 years of experience in information technology, he brings a background in software development, cloud services, data analytics, and machine learning to the roofing and solar industries.

From Cloud Computing to Roofing Technology

Before focusing on roofing, Jacob owned and operated an IT consulting business in Hawaii and developed cloud services for local companies. In 2011, Hawaii Business Magazine featured his work at Digitech Solutions, describing how he helped a Honolulu business move its software and data to the cloud.

Since 2020, Jacob has helped develop roofing and solar calculators, including tools for estimating Tesla Solar Roof projects. That work helped lay the foundation for Instant Roofer, which launched in 2022. He also works with roofing companies across the United States on their websites and technology systems, connecting software development with the everyday needs of contractors and homeowners.
