Seven edge totals on every response: eaves, ridges, hips, valleys, rakes, headwalls and sidewalls. Legacy reports charge extra for these. In v3 they just come with the measurement.

Confidence on every number

Each estimate carries a low, medium or high band, and the response names what is holding a rating down. You always know which number to trust.

Roof height and stories

Average, lowest and highest roof height in feet, plus how many stories the building has. Useful for ladder, equipment and crew planning.

Human reports from the same call

Add one field and the same endpoint sends the job to our analysts instead of the model. Same key, same coordinates, one integration.

MCP access for AI tools

Log in and we will hand you an MCP connection, so your AI assistant or agent can pull a measurement on its own. No custom glue code.

Every roof edge, measured

Most roof measurement APIs stop at the total. v3 also tells you how long each edge is, which is what you need for flashing, drip edge, ridge cap and valley metal.

Eaves	The low, level edges where the gutters go.
Ridges	The level peaks along the top where two roof planes meet.
Hips	The slanted outside corners of the roof.
Valleys	The slanted inside corners where water runs down.
Rakes	The slanted edges at the ends of a gable.
Headwalls	Where the roof meets a wall, level. This is flashing.
Sidewalls	Where the roof meets a wall, slanted. This is step flashing.

A zero means we looked and found none of that edge. No value means we had no height data for that property.

Roof height

How tall the roof is off the ground, in feet: average, lowest tier and highest tier.

Story count

How many floors the building has, so you know what you are climbing and what ladder to bring to the site.

Waste calculation

The waste table from the report, as data. See how much material each waste factor means.

Every number says how sure we are

v3 puts a band on every estimate: low, medium or high. The bands are earned. We check our work against professional reference reports and only show a high band where the numbers actually hold up.

High

We have earned this rating on roofs like yours. Give it a look before you order materials.

Medium

Usually fine. The roof is complex or partly blocked, so a second look is worth it.

Low

Read it carefully. If the number matters, order a $10 Human Certified Report to double check.

It tells you what is holding a rating down

When a band is not high, the response names the reason: no height data over the property, thin imagery, a roof attached to a neighbour, or the one measurement that set the limit.

Some edges never show high yet

Hips, headwalls and sidewalls cannot clear our bar today, so we do not print a high rating for them no matter how the model feels.

What is MCP access?

MCP is a simple standard that lets an AI assistant call a service on its own. Log in to the API dashboard and we will hand you an MCP connection. Point your AI tool at it and the tool can order a roof measurement the same way your code does, with your key, your price and the same response.

What does a confidence band mean?

Every estimated number in v3 comes with a band: low, medium or high. The bands are earned, not guessed. We check our own measurements against professional reference reports and only show a high band where the numbers hold up. If something is holding a rating down, the response names it.

Do I get the report PDF too?

Yes, on accounts with it enabled. Add report: { pdf: true } to any v3 request and you get the same multi-page AI Instant Measure Report your contractors see, built from that measurement. It is included in the price of the measurement. The download link lasts 24 hours, so save the file on your side.

Can I order a Human Certified Report from the API?

Yes. Send reportType: "human" with the same coordinates and the job goes to our human analysts instead of the model. It is $10 per report and comes back in about an hour, and we post the finished file to your webhook when it is ready.

How much does it cost?

An AI Instant Measure Report is $1.50 per address for your first 200 addresses each month, and $1 per address after that. A Human Certified Report is $10 per report. You pay for what you measure, and your rate moves automatically as your volume grows.

How accurate are the measurements?

88% of our AI Instant Measure Reports are order-ready as they are, and the numbers improve every month as the models get more practice. A Human Certified Report is highly accurate every time, because a trained person checks and signs off on it.

What if a property cannot be measured?

You get a clear error instead of a bad guess: no roof found, coordinates off the building, roof too large or irregular, rate limited, or a timeout. Every error names itself, so you can route the property to a pin drop or a Human Certified Report.
