Instant Roofer started with one question: why can a homeowner price a car in thirty seconds but have to wait a week to learn the cost to replace their roof? Answering it meant measuring roofs automatically and collecting real contractor pricing at scale. Today that data powers a free estimate for homeowners and a full tool set for the contractors who do the work.

Why we exist
Roofing ran on guesswork for a long time
Homeowners waited days for a salesperson to measure by hand. Contractors drove across a metro to measure a roof that was never going to buy. Both sides lost time on the same problem.
We automated the measurement, then paired it with pricing from the contractors who actually install the work. Across 1,021,354 measured roofs, the average is 2,588 square feet, about 26 squares, and asphalt shingle replacement runs $6.28 per square foot installed.
That data set is key to our company. It sets the estimate a homeowner sees, the market pricing a contractor competes against, and the feed publishers license through our API.

His background spans the travel, real estate, roofing and solar industries, and he specializes in fast, mobile-first websites that convert.
Jacob Petrosky
Tech Wizard
Jacob Petrosky has two decades of experience in information technology. He led one of Hawaii's top IT consulting firms and was among the first cloud services companies based in Hawaii. Outside work he builds 3D-printed robots, writes software, crafts electronics and trains machine learning models, and he enjoys camping, fishing and time at the senior center.
Fan Panyarat
Web Operations Manager
Fan Panyarat manages website operations at Instant Roofer, spanning technical SEO, digital marketing and automation. He works on structured data, local search visibility, Google Business Profiles, content development and CRM integrations, and uses automation to streamline lead intake. He came to Instant Roofer from the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii, where he was Director of IT for seven years after six years in IT consulting.
