How it works
How the contact embed works
A normal contact form gives you a name and a sentence. This one gives you a measured roof, a material and an address before you pick up the phone.

What the visitor sees
They type their address first. The roof is found and measured while they are still on the page, so the form already knows the size of the job before it asks for a phone number. That order of questions is the whole trick: people finish it because the first step gives them something.
What you receive
- Name, phone, email and the property address.
- Measured roof area in square feet and squares, with pitch applied.
- The material and service they selected.
- The page on your site the enquiry came from.
Installing it
- Open the embed section of your dashboard and configure fields, colours and materials.
- Copy the snippet.
- Paste it into the page where the form should appear.
- Submit a test enquiry and confirm it lands in your CRM.
Where to put it
- Your estimate or contact page, replacing the generic form.
- Every service page, under the description.
- Storm response landing pages, where speed matters most.
- Paid ad landing pages so the click has somewhere useful to go.
How it differs from the calculator embed
The calculator is for visitors who want a number and are not ready to talk. The contact embed is for visitors who are ready to talk and should not have to describe their roof to you. Most contractors run both: calculator on the home page, contact embed on the estimate page.
Follow one test enquiry from address to lead
Start with a property you know and complete the published form in the same order a homeowner would. Review the address selection before entering contact details. If the wrong building is selected, a measurement attached to the enquiry can still be the wrong measurement for the job. For corner lots, shared driveways and properties with several buildings, confirm which structure the homeowner wants evaluated.
After submission, open the resulting lead and compare its property address, contact details and selected service with your test. This checks the whole handoff instead of just confirming that a form appears on the page. Use clearly marked test details and remove or label the test lead so it does not become an accidental sales follow-up.
Choose fields that help your team respond
A required field should answer a question your team genuinely needs before replying. The property address identifies the roof; a contact method enables follow-up; the service selection helps route the conversation. Longer requests for history, insurance details or photographs may be better handled after the homeowner has described the problem. Collecting more information is not automatically the same as collecting better information.
Review the available material and service choices against what your company actually installs. A visitor should not be invited to request a product you do not offer. If a property falls outside your working area, address that during qualification rather than treating the presence of a measurement as confirmation that your team can take the job.
Separate installation checks from measurement checks
If a form does not appear, first check whether the snippet is saved on the published page and whether the website platform permits the embed in that location. If the form appears but an enquiry is missing, record which page you used and what happened after submission. Those are different problems from a question about the roof area returned for a particular address.
For a measurement question, preserve the property address and identify the value that needs review. For a website question, include the page URL and the browser used. Do not include passwords or private account credentials. Specific, reproducible details give support a better starting point than a general statement that the form is not working.
